Taste and Value for December

2010 Casa Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon

This dark red balanced wine has racy, wild berry, and cassis notes with full yet fine tannins.  There are layers of toasty oak, smoke, and baking spice while being polished on the finish.  Truly one of the great South American wines, don't miss this one for a special occasion.

Piper-Heidsieck - Non Vintage

(For the champagne nuts -- This is very elegant for the holidays to share with someone special)
Elegant with silk rich bass notes, toasted brioche and smoke adding depth.   Tastes of black cherry puree, apple tatin, kumquat, and gretes ginger...very creamy.
